Therapy approaches I use
How I actually work
I draw primarily from two evidence-based traditions: Systemic Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Both start from the same conviction: we are shaped by our closest relationships, and we heal within them too.
What is Systemic Therapy?
Systemic therapy looks at how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are shaped by the relationships and environments around you. Rather than treating difficulties in isolation, it explores patterns of interaction within families, partnerships and social networks.
When you can see the pattern, you can change your place in it. That's often where stuck families and long-running conflicts finally start to shift.

EFT is a gentle but powerful approach to couples therapy. Rather than staying stuck in cycles of blame, it guides partners toward the underlying emotions and needs driving the conflict, and helps you build a secure emotional bond where each of you feels seen, safe, and valued.
EFT is one of the most researched approaches to couples therapy, developed from attachment science. In practice it means slowing down the argument, finding what's underneath it, and learning to reach for each other with honesty and care.

Safety first
Therapy only works when you feel safe enough to be honest. We go at your pace, and everything is grounded in respect for who you are: all backgrounds, identities and relationship structures.
Patterns, not blame
The problem is the pattern, not the person. We map the cycle you're caught in together, so the thing you are up against stops being each other and starts being the cycle itself.
Real change
Insight matters, but felt experience changes relationships. Sessions build new emotional experiences between you, not just new ways of talking about the old ones.
Us versus the pattern, not me versus you
