Getting started
How do I schedule an appointment?
Use the booking page, email alicia@estl.uk, or call 07900 044458.
Why do I need to book an assessment session?
Assessment sessions help me understand your needs, challenges, and therapy goals. This initial meeting allows us to explore your concerns in depth, discuss relevant personal and relational history, and begin shaping a therapeutic approach that's right for you.
What happens after the assessment session?
We'll agree an ongoing plan together. I work weekly, as consistent attendance supports the most meaningful and lasting change.
How do I know if you're the right therapist for me?
The assessment is exactly that opportunity. Therapy is most effective when there's a good fit, and if it feels like another approach might better meet your needs, I'm happy to support you in finding it.
Do you work with LGBTQ+ clients and diverse relationship structures?
Yes, absolutely. I welcome and work with people from all backgrounds, identities, and types of relationships.
Sessions
Will I have individual sessions as part of couples therapy?
Yes. After the initial joint assessment, each partner has one individual session, to speak freely about your perspective and history without your partner present.
That is normally the only individual session. If there is a particular reason for another, I would offer the same to both of you, so the work stays even. Otherwise couples sessions are for the two of you, and we would need you both there.
What therapeutic approaches do you use?
I draw primarily from Systemic Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). You can read more on the approach page.
How many sessions do I need to commit to?
There's no fixed number of sessions you must commit to. Therapy is a flexible process, and your needs and goals will guide the pace and duration.
How long are sessions?
All sessions are 50 minutes. Sessions end at the scheduled time even if you arrive late.
Fees & cancellations
How much do sessions cost?
Fees vary by service type. See the fees page for full details. Online: individual £110, couples £125, family £140.
How is payment taken?
Sessions are confirmed on receipt of payment 4 days (96 hours) in advance, by bank transfer.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Please give 4 days' notice to cancel. Rescheduling is usually possible up to 48 hours before your session, within the same calendar week.
