Couples therapy
Finding your way back to each other
Emotionally Focused Therapy helps you reconnect emotionally, transform negative patterns, and create a secure bond. I work inclusively with couples of all identities and relationship structures.
- Emotional intimacy and communication. Strengthening closeness, improving how you talk to each other, and restoring connection, in relationships of all stages and structures.
- Disconnection, conflict and resentment. Working with emotional distance, recurring arguments, communication breakdowns and unresolved hurt, with a focus on secure attachment and mutual understanding.
- High-conflict relationships. A structured, supportive space for partners stuck in cycles of criticism, escalation or shutting down, helping you de-escalate, rebuild trust and find safer ways to reach for one another.
- Parenting difficulties. Supporting couples and co-parents with role strain, mismatched expectations, or feeling emotionally overlooked in the demands of parenting.
- Mental health and the couple bond. How anxiety, depression or enduring difficulties affect the relationship, and are affected by it, and how to build understanding and shared coping.
- Navigating the impact of trauma. Understanding and responding to the effects of trauma within the relationship, with an emphasis on healing, responsiveness and safety.
Couples work begins with a free 20-minute call, then a joint assessment, then one individual session with each partner, a space to speak freely about your own perspective and history.

Understanding yourself through the lens of relationships
Explore emotional challenges through a relational and systemic lens: how the patterns you grew up with, and live within now, shape how you feel and respond.
- Anxiety and low mood. Understanding emotional patterns and where they took root, in your relationships and your life, so you feel more grounded.
- Self-esteem and identity. Strengthening your sense of self, and working with questions of confidence, belonging and self-worth.
- Relationship and family patterns. How current and past dynamics shape your emotional world, with a focus on healthier boundaries and responses.
- Life transitions and loss. Separation, bereavement, a change of direction at work, and finding your way back to meaning.
- Relational trauma and attachment wounds. A safe and empathic space to reflect on past emotional injuries and move towards secure connection.
Family therapy
Creating understanding for lasting harmony
Supporting adult family members to navigate relational tensions and rebuild connection.
- Parent–adult child relationships. Long-standing patterns, unmet needs or distance in later-life family relationships, approached with compassion and perspective.
- Family conflict and emotional disconnection. Helping adult family members manage difficult dynamics, rebuild trust, and relate to one another with greater clarity and care.
- Intergenerational patterns. The impact of legacy, roles and beliefs passed down through generations, and how families can shift stuck dynamics.
- Life-stage transitions and changing roles. Parental ageing, becoming grandparents, estrangement, or changes in who cares for whom.
- Improving emotional connection. Building empathy and mutual understanding for more resilient, respectful relationships across the family.
